A poignant drama with a strong emotional impact, dealing with burning and certainly not simple issues such as bullying, the rigidity of Japanese society, and self-acceptance. With Challengers he has succeeded in creating a splendid, intense and exciting sports drama with a huge erotic charge and directed with incredible skill. There are many noteworthy moments but the last 15 minutes are literally outstanding and alone are worth watching the whole movie. The script is told through continuous flashbacks, which shed new light on the story…
