]]>TC always out does himself… what a maniac 👏✈️
]]>I’m a sucker for this little blue friend of ours #sorryboutit
]]>This film is one of one, and so is Tim Robinson as a matter of fact. Excellent theater experience.
]]>Target audience reached. This is hilarious. Been a Pattinson truther for quite some time now, but he continues to impress. His accents are fantastic in every role. Sad I missed out on the theater experience for this one, but we bounce back like Mickey 🫡
]]>Had to put the MCU marathon on the back burner for a bit, but we’re back! I’m kind of digging the chronological timeline order so far. The end credit scenes being out of place hasn’t bothered me yet.
Captain Marvel is a bit overhated I think. As a superhero, she definitely comes in OP out of nowhere, which warrants some fair criticism. As a film, it ain’t that bad guys. There’s a great cast, solid plot, and some cool visuals. I think the negatives come back to my point that she’s just insanely strong, and it’s all because she was in the “right” place at the right time. This is totally plausible, but there’s not a whole lot of character development that leads up to this point. Like all we know is that she was a pilot, and that’s about it lol. Just too strong without enough justification imo. That being said, I do like how the film opens, and plays with her memories throughout the story.
How long will it take until I watch the next movie (Iron Man)? I’m not sure. , this is a slow and steady grind. Until next time.
]]>Growing up as a skateboarder, I lived and breathed these type of videos and films. This is a classic. I love how they incorporated this sort of mystical aspect in the film. Skateboarding always felt like an adventure to me, looking for new spots to hit with your friends. This is a perfect representation of that. The search for a new spot, and finding one that is worth the energy, is very rewarding. Miss this time in my life very much.
]]>Having seen none of the Final Destination’s before, this was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of “oooo’s” came out of my mouth while watching this. Painful stuff lol.
]]>The acting is a little over the top at times, but there’s a lot of impressive work here. To start, the cinematography is worth iring. There’s plenty of creative camera shots, with some that make you wonder how they were executed (which is always a good thing). I found the editing to be well done—in particular, for the high-action moments in the film. Those scenes with quick cuts, and fast pacing, make it feel like the film could’ve been released within the last ten years. Aside from what feels like overacting, the plot/writing isn’t perfect or overly moving, but it is fun.
Most of the fun can be credited to Reeves and Swayze. Oh, and a group of bank robbing surfers, now that’s a cool concept. Props to the idea. We lost Swayze way too soon. His talent pours out of the screen.
]]>Goated mob movie actors, assemble! On a serious note, this is a heartfelt story, worth the watch.
]]>A breath of fresh air
]]>My second time watching this and I still don’t fully understand wtf happened. A wild trip, literally. Johnny Depp’s return to the big screen will feed families.
]]>The animation in Star Wars never disappoints. Always hype to see some familiar faces. Wish there was a little more that happened, but still solid story building for two great characters.
]]>Vampires are a hot commodity these days
]]>Back to back baby! Was a little sleepy last night so I’m glad I got to see this again. Theater was packed. I think I could recite damn near every line of dialogue. Will never get old.
]]>George cooked, Anakin got cooked. This will always be my favorite movie. Its influence is matched by only a few. PS: Thanks for the intro Hayden. You the goat fr.
]]>The “Wild West” vibes are through the roof, topped with some show stealing performances from Kurt and Val. This is a fun ride that doesn’t disappoint.
]]>Season 2 watch. George Lucas changed the game forever. People don’t realize how much he accomplished for the industry, aside from creating Star Wars. George and ILM will always be a massive inspiration to me.
]]>That ending was hard to watch man
]]>Can’t recall the last time I jumped in my seat so hard at the movies. That one boom in particular… damn. The sound design is next level.
]]>The vfx alone are enough to make this an auto five star (but there’s plenty of other reasons). One of the greatest achievements in vfx cinema history.
]]>This cast goes hard. Beautifully shot. Black and white film makes everything look so crispy.
]]>This is an experience. “First we mine, then we craft.” Amen Steve. Villagers rock.
]]>A classic. Arnold was born to play Terminator. The concept/premise for the franchise will always be super cool to me.
]]>Callum Turner belongs in the spotlight. Need to see him getting more work asap.
]]>This is resonating with me deeply. Val was an intelligent, creative, and funny person. He was an extremely talented actor, dedicated to his craft, worthy of being amongst the greats. I find his life, work ethic, and free spirited persona to be very inspiring. Val reminds us to live life to the fullest, and to do what you love. Thank you for sharing your life with us Val.
Everyone should watch this. Highly recommend.
]]>Gets you thinking about life, and pulls on those heart strings pretty well. Part of me feels it would work better as a short film. Third time’s a charm for Forrest and Jenny?
]]>Tweakin
]]>Missed out on the Mickey 17 train sadly, but we’re here early for the Death of a Unicorn express. The unicorns are basically magical velociraptors, so yeah, it’s interesting. Always respect a unique concept. Will Poulter wins the best performance award in this. Shoutout Anthony Carrigan too.
]]>Kong Gronk spiking Skar King is cinema
]]>Enjoyed this a lot, even through the man’s loud snoring in my theater. Classic. Those close-ups are perfection. The look and feel of this is something truly to behold. I wish there was more of it. Plus, the fits are on point. Pierce Brosnan is the definition of style. The fun was over before I knew it.
]]>Can’t buy into most of this. Loses some luster. Bernie was a great character addition though, and easily the best in the movie.
]]>Excellent casting. I’d love to know where Benicio Del Toro came up with that accent. Crazy it took me a full watch and a half to realize Giancarlo Esposito is in this.
]]>There’s always a bigger fish. That fish is Nic Cage in this. More importantly, it’s a evil world we live in…
]]>Damn man. Was feeling Wang Wang’s pain by the end. Felt like an endless pit opened up in my stomach. Writing this the day after, and was inspired to skate today because of the film. Thanks Dìdi.
]]>I’m here for the boss fights
]]>John C. Reilly is hilarious in this
]]>So underrated. This is by far the best Monsterverse movie. None of the other installments nail Godzilla's sense of scale quite like Gareth Edwards and his team. A lot of great choices were made in the creation of this. Like the choice to have the finale in the dark, for example. The shot with the flares revealing Godzilla, and the descent into the city are amazing. Bryan Cranston's performance is also very powerful, making for some solid exposition. You can feel the Jurassic Park inspiration woven throughout the film. It only makes sense Edwards is finally getting a shot at the franchise, which makes me super excited for Jurassic World Rebirth.
]]>Intriguing concept, and always great watching both Miles and Anya. Although, the execution wasn’t fully there for the film as a whole.
]]>Got to watch this masterpiece with a live orchestra, and over 5,000 people today. Absolutely beautiful. The orchestra killed it. Tried my best to watch them and the movie simultaneously. It was a nice balance to look at, and listen to. The whole finale of the film in particular hit different with the orchestra blasting. There was plenty of laughter, clapping, and tears all around. Every LOTR fan deserves to experience this at least once. One of the best film scores ever created.
]]>What a great time. So much of this was hilarious. Just really well done all around. The performances were all perfect. Nothing felt off or out of place in any way. I was in for the whole ride from start to finish. Super cool to be in a packed theater for this, months after its initial release. Just goes to show it’s worth the price of ission. Igor is the man.
]]>Oh nahhh. This film is gonna stick with me for a long time. Had to watch it before the Oscar’s. Long overdue. Going to see Anora tonight!
]]>Thank you to my local theater for showing this today. Had to see this on the big screen again, I couldn’t up on the opportunity. The streets are not ready for Anya Taylor-Joy in Messiah. I hope this film wins some of the awards it was nominated for at the Oscar’s. It deserves all of them really. Denis, and Hans Zimmer deserve so much more.
]]>Creative kills and some fun cameos from Frodo and Mark S (iykyk)
]]>Guys, I’m doing it… I’m rewatching all of the MCU movies! I’ll be watching them in MCU timeline order for the first time. I’ve only watched them in the order that they were released in (with plenty of individual rewatches too ofc). Some of the ratings may be inflated on a Marvel scale. We shall see. The rollercoaster has begun. Wish me luck!
My thoughts on The First Avenger:
I thoroughly enjoy the Cap movies. This one is a bit nostalgic for me. It’s a solid origin story, with some great actors. It certainly has flaws, but it’s a fun watch that I enjoy every time. Can’t hate on the Cap and Peggy relationship—it’s gold.
]]>Everyone needs a Paddington in their life
]]>Wish this hit a little harder, but still a great film. I respect the filmmakers choice to jump time as much as the film does through the edit.
]]>This review may contain spoilers.
The lack of Giancarlo Esposito is disappointing, the ending felt rushed, and frankly none of this felt important in any way.
]]>50 years of peak
]]>Terry Crews was lowkey the funniest part of this
