As a lifelong fan of summer camp slashers I had a good time with this. It’s not the game-changing throwback that the promo hype promised, but as a comedic retread through the tropes there are worse ways you could spend 90 minutes. 

I think Bryk and Wolfhard are probably a good choice for the Idle Hands remake. It’s another film that meant a lot to me back in the day, so fingers crossed.

Whilst it isn’t as depressingly bleak as THE KING OF PIGS, it’s the closest thing to the pitch black animated stuff he became famous for back in the day 🙏

Yup! DRIVE MY CAR is a slow, sad, sexy masterpiece! I went in hyped to the rafters and it still managed to exceed my expectations. A supremely complex study of grief and guilt but also a truly heart-rending look at relationships in general. As of now this is my film of the year!

I can’t explain how fucking good this film is! Where BEYOND THE INFINITE TWO MINUTES is a heady exploration of time, this is a really lovely and leisurely look at time loop theory that is consistently hilarious and really moving. I laughed so much and very nearly cried! 

I can’t wait to see it again and I soooooooo excited that it’s another slice of THIRD WINDOW FILMS gold. Covering this on the podcast when we release it on Blu-ray next year is going to be so much fun!
