If remakes are an inevitability then can we get more remakes like this please? leveraging modern technology and techniques to enhance something that was told decades (or in this case a whole century) ago.

I've never loved vampire stories, I think because there's been so many retellings and iterations over the years I've just become indifferent to them. Of course if anyone was going to win me over it would be Robert Eggers, this film pulled me onboard it's classic…

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation

2015

★★★★ Liked Watched

Watching these almost back to back it's becoming hard to differentiate one from the other. The quality is definitely getting better though, and now that the cast is more defined and reoccurring it becomes easier to care for the characters rather than just having a one off random agent who either dies or just never gets mentioned again.

★★★½ Liked Watched

I had this feeling with both Past lives and The Worst Person in the World and I had it again throughout the entirety of All of us Strangers.
I think part of the reason…

Possession

Clearly a lot of people do really like this but I really can't see why, this is so exhausting and I was ready for it to be over about an hour in.

The writing, the overacting, the jarring editing which most of the time seemed like mistakes rather than intentional. Everything here was laughably bad for me, which is a shame because of the great rating this has so it's well loved for a reason but I just don't get…
