Paul Rudd’s character basically said, “I think you should leave” and just felt like a drawn out sketch from Robinsons’s show. It’s always nice to see a comedy in the theater and hear other people laughing. But goddamnit, modern audiences laugh at the dumbest moments that aren’t even comedy (eg. big bang theory).

Film was fine. Fun but lacking something.

Effects and character design were creative and comfortable in style and execution. Felt nostalgic in quality and refreshingly original.

Moving. Beautiful. Joaquin was devistatingly brilliant. Music was chilling. Mental illness elements were powerful. Final speech could have used a few more rewrites. I didn’t feel for him or the cause. 🤡

Realize I’ve never seen this all the way through. Very scary. Amazing horror cinema for 1973. I had a deeper connection to the material since I grew up Catholic.

Everyone was great, especially Linda Blair and Lee Cobb as Lieutenant Kinderman. Effects in this are top notch. Apparently this was the first use of early version of a Steadicam style rig.

Beyond Fest 2019 Egyptian Theater Los Angeles. Supposed to be Q&A with William Friedkin but he fell ill so Linda Blair showed up. She had some nice insight and great message about animal welfare.
