I wouldn’t call myself a sports fan, but I really enjoy sports movies. They tend to focus on character development both on and off the field, which helps us understand who these people are. That emotional connection makes the stakes feel real and gives the story weight.

Park Chan-wook has possibly become my favorite Korean director between what I watched from him for M(a)y Korea last year and this year-- I just feel like he's more consistent than Bong Joon Ho, and I've only seen one or two movies from other Korean directors.
