An affable 70s buddy comedy road movie about a strait-laced officer worker and a free-wheeling con artist until it becomes a jarring 70s downer. Didn’t particularly like either of the main characters* during their shenanigans, but I guess you don’t really have to. Regardless, it’s January and if I’m all for a trip through California. Surprised Fun City Editions hasn’t done a release of this yet.

*The con artist as a romantic figure holds particularly little appeal for me. No one’s making a movie about how the people calling about my non-existent car insurance or the ones sending me texts that just say ‘hello’ are really cool fun people. But maybe they should?
