Whoops, looks like I caved

Rewatched for the Matthew Lillard of it all, and found some bits better than I ed which was nice. The finale was definitely punchier. I do think Lillard never gets a moment that reaches peak derangement, and therefore never truly scares me. But the film itself is... solid
Usually when I'm excited about something and it comes out, and is terrible I have at least a week of denial before accepting the fact. This film somehow manages to do all of: Ripping off The Little Mermaid shamelessly, breaking their own established canon, totally ignoring the original books, and giving original characters terrible character arcs.
Shit like this is why Henry Cavill left the Witcher. Half a star is for the music. Doug Cockle and Joey Batey I still love you it's ok.
