Anthony Portillo’s review published on Letterboxd:
Family, prophecy, religion, revenge, love — all of themes blend together perfectly to form a cinematic masterpiece. The cinematography couldn’t be any better & is quite frankly the best looking movie I’ve ever seen. The costume designs are so beautifully put together it immerses you into the Dune-world.
Acting performances from the entire cast were top tier. The standout performances from Timothee, specifically his monologue in the 3rd act & Austin Butler, who steals the show with every scene he’s in. Hans Zimmer on the aux went crazy per usual. Selfishly wish the large battle scene was longer, but the final face-off had my heart racing. Denis Villenueve is cinema & can’t wait to make this movie my new personality.
