Watched most of these at a far too young age, and they certainly left an impression. Remarkable consistency for a voice that is always compelling while strenuously avoiding ever becoming traditionally “good” as a filmmaker (complimentary).

Great fun watching through everything here, such a varied and interesting career. 1-2 are perfect films, with 1 being a top ten all timer for me. 3 seems to get even more love on here. I agree it’s great, while not quite at the level of the other two. 

The skate videos were really cool to watch through, especially those across the first third of the filmography. And for the music videos, what can be said, one of the best to ever do it. Hopefully he starts making shit again soon!

1 is a flat out masterpiece, one of the greatest comedies ever made. 2-3 are both so near perfect that their placement is almost interchangeable. And 4 is very, very close to being on the same level. An absolute stunner of a 4 film run. 

5 isn’t at the same height but is still a wonderful, lovely film. 6-7 aren’t in the same league as what came before them, but both have their moments, and 7 in particular is better than its reputation suggests.
