Unfortunate film.

Clearly this was clashing with the Hollywood studio system and John Woo’s Hong Kong style, it just felt off bringing them two together; apart from making Tom Cruise look tuff as hell!

Watched this yesterday and really nothing stood out to me about it and I found it to be very mild. It doesn’t really explore anything that’s new. Plus, why do some writers love writing about feminine AI as ‘fuck dolls’? Like why are writers constantly obsessed with describing that as their only trait? Weird.

Fuck yeah dude! 

Big budget Sci-Fi satirical picture from Bong Joon-Ho, what else could you need. Bong Joon-Ho’s ‘Hollywood’ films are never as good for me. Not saying his films are extremely subtle but like Snowpiercer is so intensely on the nose it can be a bit exhausting and I feel like Mickey 17 rides that line at times.
