André Grochovski’s review published on Letterboxd:
There's no satisfaction like seeing one the best literary works of all time adapted into a masterpiece of epic proportions. While the first Dune focuses on establishing this universe very faithfully to the source material, Part 2 has free path to show the most exciting events of the book — and also drastically change others. These changes seem frustrating at first, but we soon realize that Dennis Villeneuve's reinterpretation is perfect and we fully embark on it. Austin Butler's psychopathic Feyd-Rautha is something worthy of cinema's greatest villains. The arena fight scene is so sick and I want to rewatch it over and over again.
I'm aware that works of this magnitude don't need awards to have their importance validated, but I really hope the Academy does not forget this because it was released so early in the year. Only every few decades cinema gives us epics like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and now Dune. We're truly privileged to witness this event on the big screen.
