The best performance(s) of Michael B. Jordan’s career to date. Another envelope pushing score from Ludwig Göransson. And a Ryan Coogler vision that’s unshackled by IP. There's an immersive and ambitous energy to this that feels like full fat Coogler in a way that Creed and Black Panthers 1 & 2 - movies which I like, if not love - just aren't. My fave film of 2025 so far.

Ironic that a movie with ‘Brave’ in its title plays things so annoyingly safe. Not without its moments, but nowhere near as good or radical as it should have been. Frustrating.
