If you’ve only ever heard Swamp Dogg’s music and know nothing of his story, as I did coming into this sweet and creatively assembled documentary about the gentleman Jerry Williams Jr. (a.k.a. Swamp Dogg), you are in for a real treat.
A really lovely documentary about the power of music, family, friendship and love, and a hell of a lot of fun to boot. So much fun, in fact, so well made and such a wild story that I wondered if it was all entirely real. It is.
Long live Swamp Dogg. Long live MoogMan. Long live Guitar Shorty (R.I.P.).
Highly recommended.

This was made in 1968 and I was born in 1974, so I guess Emily and Georgia must be a little older than me.
I wonder if they love this lovely portrait of them as much as I do.
So rough and so delicate, so silly and so wistful, just beautiful. Makes my heart ache.
