The Monkey is utterly hilarious, violently angry, and unexpectedly emotional. Oz Perkins has really hit his stride and revealed how cleverly fun he can be. What a bloody delight.

This movie is middle school id writ large. I never thought I’d want to punch Jack Black and Jason Momoa in the face.

I don’t think I’ll ever recover from watching a Pikachu clone slapping the real Pikachu across the face for nearly 20 uncut seconds until both of them are openly weeping. What a film.

It’s not perfect, but I dug a lot about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It had some amazing visuals, a great score, one of my favorite villainous arcs thus far in the MCU, and it’s just nice to have Sam Raimi back.
