Best Picture watch/rewatch #6

"Long Live The Fighters!!!"

Rewatching Dune Part 2 a few days before the Oscars breaks my heart as it is only going to win 2 Oscars for Sound and Visual Effects. After looking at the Entertainment Weekly Article on the 4 Oscar voters saying they never watched Dune Part 2 and never will just frustrates me, as you have to make the biggest decisions in Film History and your just going to abstain Dune at the Oscars for other movies you have seen, then you shouldn't have the eligibility to vote at the Oscars, you either see 10/10 best Picture nominees or 5/5 in its respective category or you don't vote at all. Also the fact that this film can't get nominated for any other Oscars including best Director for Denis Villenueve, Best Score for Han Zimmer, Best Acting for any of the Actors, no Costumes and Make up and hairstyling, and no Editing is a complete joke.

Dune Part 2 is a cinematic Masterpiece for the ages, and it most certainly is the best science fiction film, one of the best sequels, the best Denis Villeneuve film, and a visually stunning film front and center. Timothee Chalamet gives his best performance of all time with Paul Atreides and with Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, and the rest of the cast ensemble with Zendaya (Chani), Florence Pugh (Princess Irulan), Austin Butler (Feyd Rautha), Josh Brolin (Gurney), Rebecca Ferguson (Jessica), Stellan Skarsgard (Barron), Javier Bardem (Stilgar), and many more are all incredible in their respective parts. The Sandworm scene, the Final Battle, Feyd Rautha and Paul Atreides fight, and the Paul Atreides drinking the Water of Life are such G.O.A.T scenes. The Visuals, Direction, Script, Editing, Sound design, Cinematography, production, and lighting is spectacular. Lastly the Experience and lasting legacy that it has had for almost a year by fans and critics is very satisfying, and if people can keep their excitement high for Dune Messiah then maybe Messiah will get it closer to Best Picture than most and make it a Return of the King for the franchise. Overall screw the Academy voters who aren't watching most of the films because this film is a Masterpiece and it doesn't need three or more Oscars to say it's a cinematic masterpiece.
