I think this one is going to be the one that finally gets me to jump from any kind of real rating system in this platform. Had a blast in this one. Full brain melt. Loved every minute and confusing directorial choice that es in this.

★★½ Rewatched

3rd time seeing this with my kid (we went to the sing-a-long screening this go-around).

My takeaway from round 3:
- The Wizard and I + Defying Gravity slap (purely on Erivo’s vocal delivery that elevates the underwhelming visuals)
- Cynthia Erivo carries the film, Ariana Grande was like a hand in glove as Glinda
- John Chu is a peak product of USC’s film school (derogatory)
