WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK DID I JUST WITNESSED….
I literally got tears in my eyes when it ended and I sat there until the whole credits rolled just to collect myself from this world I just got out from as I was shivering and continuously having goosebumps throughout the film… I’m writing this review on my way back home from the city I saw it in and all of this struggle of traveling was 1000% worth it. This film fucked me up for good and I don’t think that I’ll recover from it anytime soon. Its not just better then part one in of action sequences or visuals, it got better in of psychological impact aswell . It was not just a film, it was a genuine ride of multiple emotions that play with your brain so well that you end up like me (If you are a genuine dune fan).
This film is Denis Villeneuve’s Magnum Opus whether anyone agrees with me or not. This man showed everyone that if you truly love something that’s exactly how you put all of your heart and effort in making it yours forever. The way he crafted this world for the big screen was truly immersive. His all directorial trademarks were in this film from his whole previous filmography from beyond amazing visuals and music to the heart pounding extremely thrilling moments. I cannot thank him enough for this experience he gave me.
Every cast member brought there absolute A game in this film and the most surprising performances for me were Rebecca Farguson’s and Austin Butler’s. I would never have thought that Lady Jessica would scare me this fuckin much by her complete transformation after a specific scene. And Feyd….. Not enough words for his extremely Dark character which made me shiver throughout all of his moments. I cannot talk about Paul’s character development in this film cuz it might be a major spoiler.
Greig Fraser…. You earned your best cinematography oscar again… Some reviews said it that some images in this film are unlike anything you’ve ever seen before and I 100% agree on this. I can’t even describe how weirdly good some images were. The screenplay was phenomenal in every term and Hans Zimmer’s score brought an other worldly feeling and emotion to this film. Idk what to say more cuz I am literally out of words now.
Fuck lord of the rings and fuck the empire strikes back. Dune part two is an entirely different Sci Fi epic for me which cannot be related or compared to any film of the same genre. Denis Did his own thing in this film and it fuckin WORKED. A generation defining masterpiece that will be ed for decades.
(I removed part one from my top 4 cuz I consider both parts as one. And yesss from now on this IS my no.1 favorite film of ALL FUCKIN TIME..)
Denis WON…
Cinema WON…
LONG LIVE CINEMA…
