This review may contain spoilers.

This was a weird ah movie. I think the relationship develops pretty uncomfortably and quickly between Paul and Holly. Like I had no idea what was going on in the first 20 minutes of this film. Like one moment, Holly is escaping a drunk rat in her apartment and the next moment they are in Paul's apartment sleeping in the same bed. Holly is the classic cannot be tamed, free spirit, white girl, who manipulates rich white dudes with her witty charm and bubbly personality. She crazy crazy, like supa crazy. I also love how this movie treats her marriage when she was 14 to some old weird farmer guy as like normal or something. I was sitting in my chair like what the hell is happening, while her "husband" tries to convince her to go home with her and like sad music is playing. Like HELLO! This guy is creepy as hell, it should be like a dub that this creepy ah dude is leaving. The 60s surely was a trip huh!! She is very beautiful in this film though. If y'all ever seen the hot crazy matrix, she like totally fits it perfectly. I like Paul and Holly's relationship. He strikes me as more of a quieter kinda guy, but balances her out because she talks soooo much. Overall i was hella confused at the beginning of this film but it ended up tying together very nicely. The part where Paul and Holly were window shopping and walking around the time doing things that neither of them have ever done before was super cutie. Sounds like a fun date. If only :|. Honestly I think it is funny that Paul's whole reason for entering the relationship was to fi her. Reminds me of all those alt-right conservative dudes who date liberal girls thinking "I CAN CHANGE HER." Kinda funny, it don't ever work. Apparently in this movie it can work though, because Paul ends up winning over Holly. I think that's like every guy's dream. If y'all have ever seen that video with the girl with the nail in her head, it's just like that. Guys just try to fix everything all the time.
My mind is kinda all over the place so my review is also kinda over the place too. Honestly, I like old movies so that gives this movie a little more higher of a rating than I probably would have normally gave it, but idc. 3.5 stars, pretty solid.

It was good, made me feel sad at the end. I love the simplicity of Forrest. I think he calls all of us on to live more authentically and to just be ourselves. He models this well. I have a friend who is openly autistic. He is bad with social cues but has taught me so much on how to be authentically myself. Forrest also shows that simplicity can lead to a very happy life. I liked it.

The Menu. An odd movie and fairly unique. I personally love cooking and I love food so going into this movie I thought I was going to enjoy it, which I did. This movie reminds me, in a small way of 12 angry men. The movie takes place in one location pretty much the entire time and attempts to display different types of people in society. However, where this movie differs from 12 angry men is that it lacks depth, character, and fantastic performances from its cast. I see how it is attacking different elitist people, but it kind of fails to portray them in a way with depth or meaning and is kind of weird in its execution. I did like Tyler because of his extreme idolization of the foodie persona. Ultimately his demise shows how obsessing over things and not actually doing things is a waste of time. He is obsessed with food, but cannot even cook himself. I think that Margot could have been portrayed in a deeper way too. In the way she was revealed to be a prostitute, I wish they could have dove more into the depth of the wounds and trauma she faced through the profession. I did feel for her because I implied it on her character due to the profession's nature, but the movie in know way tries to show the shame she has faced in her life. I think of Mary Magdalene in the bible. Her wounds and trauma in her occupation and sin caused me to feel pity and empathy for her. I desire her redemption and her ultimate healing of the horror she has gone through. However this movie does not address these nuances and simply es this off as just another detail of her personality, necessary to contrast the rich elite with the lowest of the low. IDK, I really think this movie could have been a lot better, I did not feel much during this movie, but it was somewhat entertaining. I like the creativity of it which added to the entertainment value. But the themes and characters ultimately lacked depth and meaning. People online try to act like this movie is some deep commentary on the elite and classes and the service industry, but it was fairly shallow in its execution. Kind of underwhelming.

Before I start, I want to engage my inner Elle Woods and say that it is funny that the very nerdy PHD having tall guy (Dorky David Kidney) is wearing a very popular shoe in the current time (2025). He is wearing something congruent to the blue New Balance 574. Though in the movie he is a nerdy loser, this observation proves he was actually ahead of his time and wrongly perceived. Just like his friend Elle Woods.

Wow! This movie is great. This movie really speaks to me personally, in my pursuit of knowledge and intelligence in the world. This movie, in a satirical way, reveals the truth that true intelligence does not always look the same. Therefore, this entire first section of the review will be about Elle Woods. Though Elle Woods is the president of her sorority, into fashion, happy, considerate, and talks like a valley girl, she is very intelligent. She proves this in the iconic opening scene when the sales women tried to sell her a dress that was "so last season" and Elle instantly, but nicely responds, absolutely leaving the women speechless. Elle's faithful yet cunning attitude reminds me of the scripture which says "be as innocent as doves, but as wise as serpents. Though in parts of the film Elle fails to see the obvious truth due to her rose colored glasses, she proves her smartness time and time again such as knowing the pool boy to be gay and ing that a perm cannot get we. Elle Woods truly proves the general intelligence theory of Charles Spearman true; you do not have to do computer science and physics to be intelligent. You can be simple and kind and still be a cunning mind. In my opinion, real intelligence isn't found in the socially awkward morons who spend their whole lives obsessing over non-sense, it's found in well rounded individuals who excel in all areas of life. For example, not only does Elle show her educational aptitude, but she demands the attention of others through her wisdom and full understanding of social complexity, social hierarchy, and empathy. Just look how she can control the entire nail salon completely by herself. Some may say this is vapid white girl behavior, but I say that it is high functioning intelligence in action. Elle does not just excel in specific skills, interests, and abilities, she excels in EVERYTHING that she does. All in all, Elle Woods is one of my favorite characters and goes into my list of the best misunderstood characters right next to Mr. Darcy from "Pride and Prejudice", and Kat Stratford and Patrick Verona from "10 Things I Hate About You."

On another note, I think that the whole story is good and the characters are realistic and fun. Vivian's transformation from a self obsessed jerk to a nice girl is fun. For me she becomes more attractive as the movie goes on because of this. I don't know if her makeup changed or what, but I noticed a physical difference in her appearance as the movie went on. This may have been purely psychological from me, but IDK, personality goes along way I guess. Warner's character is fantastic. I think that the way in which he only seeks his own best interest is very realistic and reminds of people in real life. Finally, Luke Wilson is cool. Love him. Anyway, the movies is overall kind of funny, it wasn't overly witty or intelligent in its humor, but it still blows most post-modern garbage that gets put out today. I'm giving this 3.5 stars, though it teeters more towards a 4 than a 3 in my mind (so i guess like a 3.75 is more accurate).

Context, I just watched this movie and I'm writing this review at 2am so it may come across as poorly written and a little preachy, but deal with it, I'm tired. (also i just watched 10 things i hate about you which set a really high bar).
Once again, I watched a film while playing Minecraft. Maybe it's because I died in the Nether with 10 blaze rods while in a bastion near the end of the movie, but wow this movie was not very good. No hard feelings, but I just really did not understand what the point of this movie was. Is it a commentary on incels, Gen Z, Old people... IDRK. I feel this plot was so unconvincing that I just found myself with so many questions. Like, if a kid who watches extreme hardcore pornography who plays video games all the time is being extremally hit on by an older fairly attractive woman, there is literally no way he waould act the way this kid acted. Also, why does every movie that commentates on these kinds of concepts such as being chronically online, incell culture, gen z, ect... always just sound the same way; OMG gen z is so lame like they can't do anything, like turn on a hose, omg and they are spoiled, and omg and like they are totally addicted to IPHONE and stuff, and lol they just need to get like laid or something. LOL like Gen Z doesn't have sex they are too busy on their phone. LOL. I'll give you that we probably are to actively online then we should be, but I can guarantee you that 90% of the people I see always inappropriately on their phones in public is old baby boomers who for some reason always have their ringer on in places like at the movies, Church, funeral and weddings plus, they always have that same ringtone, you know which one I am talking about. Anyway, this movie was just confusing and not funny at all, and I don't think it commentates on what it wanted to commentate on well. The humor is just classic post-modern garbage. If you aren't hearing a raunchy out of pocket sexual remark, you're seeing some shocking explicit "out of this world hilarious" scene like Jenifer Lawrence running around naked beating up a bunch of drunk morons. Or a highschool student butt naked on the hood of a car begging the driver for his Iphone. "Like Bruh, this generation is messed up bruh, like did you see that dude jump on the car bruh, FOR AN IPHONE bruh, like this generation on some crap bruh," says the moron who built the world the generation was raised on. OH, THE IRONY! If you want to know about incells just watch TFWNGF (That face when no GF) a great documentary on incells and being chronically online. If you want to know about Gen Z, have a conversation with someone under 30 and actually hear what they have to say and what their story is instead of retorting 1/10th of the way through saying "well I used to hike 30 miles a day through 15 feet of snow uphill both ways to school." Yeah, and you also paid for college, debt free, on a 40 hour a week minimum wage summer job. Give me a break. I'm giving this film 2 stars out of 5 instead of 1.5 because I do think that the story between Jenifer Lawrence and Andrew Feldman having a stupid sexual relationship resolving into an older sister, younger brother kind of friendship is cutie af and I wish this film was just about that kind of thing and maybe the two becoming friends to help him with his self-confidence rather than a 30 year old trying to have sex with a 19 year-old for an hour and a half, and then they're just friends at the end. To really understand my perspective on how entertaining this movie was when I Finished 10 things I hate About You, I was sad, like finishing a good novel, it felt too short, and I wanted the experience to keep going. Halfway through this movie I felt like I had been watching it for 3 hours. Just looked up the director, Gene Stupnitsky, it all makes sense now.

I've decided in an effort to culture myself that I will not only watch more movies, but also to engage literature. However, I find sitting and watching movies difficult because of my minds active nature so I decided to watch movies on a second monitor while I play Minecraft, so take any comments I have with a grain of salt.
This movie is fantastic. Firstly, though the characters can seem uptight at first, like Kat the crazy non-human anti-social girl with an attitude problem, they are swiftly agreeable. Kat especially captivates the heart with her casual flaunting of an extensive vocabulary describing ordinary events and circumstance: Prom, "an antiquated mating-ritual." With a similar contrarian nature, I fell in love with her instantly. [Oh, if only I had the courage to pursue and win such a woman, but alas charm, beauty, and patience is my folly, unlike heath ledger in this film.] Ironically, I came into this movie thinking it was ONLY a quirky love story between Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles, but it all revolves around a nerdy new student Cameron James falling for a vapid, but beautiful Bianca Stratford. This side plot is cute, and adds a pinch of irony to the whole film. Overall, this movie is delivered with great wit and integrity to enthrall the viewer into a cliche yet realistic scenario which allows for our main lovers to be entangled with one another. The characters are unique, creative, and deep. You actually feel like you get to know them through the film and even grow in affection for them as their true natures are revealed. This movie is also funny! It was such a breathe of fresh air to watch this film. Post-modern romantic humor is full of over sexualized, idiotic crap and this had none of it. This movie though a dumb romcom, is witty and intelligent and casts a fun and compelling story with fun and compelling characters, so much so that I got blown up by a creeper enticed by Heath and Julia's banter. Overall, 4 stars. Really solid
