WTFFFFF. I’ve been waiting for this since 2021 and omfg it was soooo worth it. I when watching the first one for the first time and i was no exaggeration sitting in the cinema with my jaw dropped. This film gave me the exact same reaction if not more. My heart literally was stopped for most of the film. That first Paul riding the worm scene had me on the edge of my fucking seat. It was so overwhelming and scary in the most amazing way. Watching this in IMAX was the most perfect way to view it. I came out with my ears ringing in the best way. The scale of this film was insane. The sound, the visuals, the score!! Every single detail was perfected. Timothée Chalamet and Zendayas chemistry was incredible they worked so so well together. Timothée Chalamet was amazing at showing how Paul was changing over the space of the film and he did it so subtley so that it wasn’t a massive shock at the end. I was so glad to see Florence Pugh the cast as well cos although she didn’t do a whole lot she was the perfect Princess Irulan. Christopher Walken felt a bit random but he didn’t have to do much anyway so i guess he did the job he needed to. I felt the start was a little bit slow but it needed to be like that to set up the film ready for all of the action at the middle and end. Greig Fraser is actually the king of cinematography. This along with the first film and The Batman??? Denis Villeneuve has literally blown all of my expectations away. I’m not a massive Sci-fi, Action fan at all but this franchise i have just loved.
