Way more adventure than action, more about the discovery and clashing of technology and nature and humanity versus none. A lot of interesting stuff going on that works really well together, but missing so much heart that the other ones had. Other than that, good stuff, monke movies on top this year.

I’m just a stunt guy

Where John Wick 4 was an awesome concoction of movie stunts as an homage to action filmmaking of old executed tastefully and seamlessly, The Fall Guy is the exact same, except loud, boisterous and attention-seeking. Which is awesome. Both need and should exist, and I’m glad they do. Loved when Winston Duke shouted “Daniel Day-Lewis” I almost jumped outta my seat laughing.

He won’t be alone 

Toothaches, catnaps, King Kong channels his inner Kevin MacAllister and Home Alone’s Hollow Earth, Godzilla hotboxes with radiation in the Arctic and the pyramids get levelled. This is the monster movie we’ve always deserved.
