It is a nice prequel. For me, it feels more bloody and voilent than the previous movie. A lot of triggering scenes for my taste, however, it is worth watching and I would love for a second watch.

Coming into this movie, I've known the female lead before, but I was actually impressed by Christ's performance. He nailed that character perfectly.

The ending...

I just wish it would stop like 20 minutes earlier so I did not have to see her suffering.

As a Vietnamese boy, I've never watched or read Wicked before. You know what, I think I watched one movie relating to the universe of Oz and it was showed on Disney Channel.

Going to this movie, I don't have much expectations since I am not a musical fan. The movie is kinda long for my taste. However, it did pick up at the later half and turned out to be a solid movie.

Love Ariana' comedic acting very much, but the star for me is no other than Cynthia. Her voice is just heavenly gorgeous.

You know, for a 50-minute movie, there's quite a lot of sex scenes which I might call them unnecessary as they contribute nothing to the movie.

That twist at the end though, I legitimately thought that it was going to be a happy ending. I guess nothing good comes when you choose the assassin's life.

I did not expect it to be this bloody but it is welcome anyway.

Loved the concept of the 8 deadly ninjas, just a small wish that I could see more of them since they are just so cool.

The love story is a bit forced. I didn't buy it at all.

I saw a reel in Instagram and decided to watch this movie immediately.

Anime surely come a long way. I feel like this movie would benefits so much more if it were made with more details explaining the plot instead of being rushed like this.

Overall, nice! Meet my expectation for a fantasy vampire movie!

I know that this is going to be a very good movie when I heard "Take me home, country roads" at the beginning of the movie. This is the song that I always sing whenever I have a chance to be on the road to a new place I've never been to.

In this movie, it has a slightly different meaning. And for that reason, it opens my mind. The song could be about the road that you choose for your own life.

Ghibli's movies in general always impress me with the gorgeous visual it presents. Every single detail has been rooted in my mind. I want to live there. I wish I could live there.

Suddenly, I want to be better now. No more procrastination, just read and write, which are the things I always want to do in my life but too scared to continue.

This movie, hands down, has some of the most beautiful shots in any action movies I have ever watched. I especially shocked when our main character shot that two motorcycles into flames.

I think they had a blast when made this movie. With the majority of men, it is like a big play ground for grown men to release stress with unlimited gun shots fired from one small gun. Somehow it took nearly ten shots to kill just one person.

One thing makes me feel uncomfortable while watching this movie is the final battle, which took place at the hospital, where a lot of innocent people got killed. Very bold of them to include a lot of young infants. I cannot imagine how the world would burn if this movie was made in today times.

After watching, I realize that The Beatles' music, musically it might be fantastic, I don't know as I am not an expert. But lyrically, it is pretty basic and normal, sometimes kinda goofy. Like if you put those words into today's pop songs, they would sound real boring. Maybe it's just the music in the movie.

However, I still think their music sounds really fun and positive, something that would be great to sing along in a big crowd.

About the movie, in general, it feels really long although it's not that long. When Ringo started to wander around, I lost my patience. I have never wanted a movie to end faster. It's just not my things.

Basically it's a movie about the band's life as the world's most popular musician of all time. And they do not like to work, just like everyone else. I guess we all have something in common.

Press with stupid questions about personal life, nothing with music. The fans, the screaming, those beatlemaniac is real and quite strong back in the days.

I think I would love this movie more if I were a big fan of their music, which, unfortunately I am not. I just sometimes listen to them and ire them for their influence to today's music.

There's one thing or person I like most about this movie, however, is John Lennon. He is something, so weird and charming. When he's in the bathtub, when he cut off the tape measure, when he put on the fake beard. Love this side of him, maybe it's not true since this is just a movie. Maybe I should have said, love the character he is portraying.

Anyway, not my kind of movies. Still love their music.

It's been a long time sice I watched a good movie. I was so busy with work for the last few months. So relieved to finally have a wonderful time and watch an incredible movie by one of my favourite directors of all time. Bring me back to those days when I don't have to go to work. What a privilege!

I feel like I started to understand why Miyazaki makes movies with children as the main characters. Only children could behave like that, because of the innocence. The children just have different visions from adults. They view things with the eyes of love and always ready to share them with the world.

The movie hits especially hard when you think of today's tragic reality and people's endless greed. Only the young could help us escape from this nightmare.

Let's see! What's else to say about this movie? I have watched this movie numerous times now. I watching this when I was just a little 10-year-old boy. I know that I liked it, but I didn't know why. Maybe because of the wonderful world, or maybe because of the innocent love shared between the two lead characters. I guess I'm just telling you how I feel right now.

I was crying a lot. I thought it might be related to my wisdom teeth removal which I just have them removed this afternoon. It hurts crazily. When I'm vulnerable, I feel a lot of things and I get emotional easily.

I am currently in a new chapter of my life. It's scary and exciting at the same time, just like Chihiro. I don't want no change. I was very okay with what I had before, but deep down I knew that I was just suffering. But still, I didn't want to change a thing. Even when I didn't make any money. I don't even meet new people for two years.

I have a job now. I meet new people too and ironically I really like them. I wish I could be their best friend. I wish I could be with them forever. No more change. But I know that it will never happen the way I want.

Some people already have plans for their future, and their future do not have me in it. I also have some plans for my years ahead of me.

I guess I just don't want to be alone. I am tired of being lonely. I wish I had more close friends. There's a guy I really like in that group of people. Nothing hurts you more than being in love with someone who will never love you back.

However, I don't even know if I really love him or it's just a fever dream. I have the same feelings for a lot of guys before, this time it's no difference. He's funny, charming and cute as hell. And he's straight too.

The more I know him, the more I ignore the red flags. I don't like drinking or smoking, but for him I want to make an exception although I know for sure he will never be mine. My brain doesn't care anymore. I just want to be in love.

At the same time, I wish I could keep this relationship with him. We don't talk much at work, but he's really cool to be friend with. I want to be his close friend. I just don't know how to stop thinking about being in love with him all the time.

He's the one who will leave our company soon. He wants to study aboard and maybe he will go in one month or two. I'm sad when I hear the news, but I knew that something like this will eventually happen. We are never meant to be together, and I don't want to accept the truth.

I wish everything went back to the two-month training time. It was one of the best times of my entire life. I wish it could stop right there.

I don't know a lot of things, but one thing I do know sor sure is that everything is gonna be alright. My belief is stronger than ever after watching this movie. Like Chihiro, I will find a way to do it with love, even when I don't see anything ahead of me.

Life is never easy for someone who feels so much like me!!!

I love Ke Huy Quan when I watched Everything Everywhere All At Once. After that, I followed his journey and just found out that he actually acted before but he had to quit because there was no roles for him at the time. So, I watched this movie because of him.

To be honest, it's a challenging watch. It's basically a kid movie. I think I would absolutely love it if I watched it when I were like 10 years old. I literally wanted to give up after 30 minutes in the movie. Like, "it feels longer than 30 minutes."

The kids were so loud. The screaming, the talk-over-each-other, the crazy decisions and thoughts. I bet they had so much fun filming this piece. Like the water slide scene is so cool. A great movie to watch with children I guess.

The blonde's death is so ridiculous. Like, by a garage door, really? What is Stu's motivation to kill people by the way? I must have missed it or it didn't show. Or is he a puppet who follows and does everything Billy tells him to do? Even killed his own girlfriend?

Stu as a character is amazingly annoying the hell out of me. Like the type of person I genuinely hate in real life. But the actor playing Stu nailed it. I hated him so much. That's why he was so good.

In contrast, I don't like the actor playing Billy and Billy the character at all. Billy is that one guy who thinks he's so deep but it just turns out as cringe.

But the movie in general does raise a good question: does horror movie make people go psycho-mode? American makes a lot of horror movies and at the same time the country also produces so many serial killers. Is it just a coincidence?

I usually stay away from the classic movies because I find myself not a really big fan of those films. I don't want to disrespect them. At the end of the day, those movies are the reason why my favourite movies were born.

With Hitchcock, it is something else. I think I have a soft spot for him and his movies. I first watch The Rope a few months ago and loved it very much. I was drawn to watch Psycho for so long and today I was not disappointed.

Haft the time and I thought it was way longer than I expected. Finished the movie and I thought its plot was brilliant, especially the ending when they explained everything. And that smile! Scared me a little bit.

The plot is predictable, but I'm okay with it since it's from the 60s. People from that period must have thought it was genius. If I was from that time, I would think the same.

I love Detective Conan movies. They are my secret guilty pleasures. They are not bad but at the same time, not incredibly good either. They're just very entertaining and easy to follow and very digestive. Sometimes they are not even logical at all but I still watch it from time to time. I feel like this movie Die Hard is what Detective Conan movies are trying to accomplish.

The things that I love about this movie and Detective Conan in general is the emotions that I have while watching them. It's intense as hell. Sometimes it makes you feel angry because of some very obviously stupid decisions. But at the end of the day, what I love most about them is the feeling of pride. Like, you are so proud of what the character accomplished, how they managed to figure out which way to go and what to do in spite of being put in such a dangerous situation.

Everything about this movie is top tier for me. Every little detail, it's all connected together on a very logical way. Not a single thing that being left out. Everything happens for a reason. I know it. I just immediately know at the beginning of this movie. I know that I'm in for a treat and I'd better focus and put my 100% attention to this. And it turned out just like the way I initially thought: A Freaking Masterpiece.

The ending just makes this movie one of my favourite movies ever! Like, excuse me, I need a little bit of time to progress, it's so offensively amazing. That sabotage really made my heart skip for a one hot minute. And one of the best comebacks ever seen on screen, especially when Andrew hit that jerk's face.

So many questions popped up in my mind though. For example, is it worth it? Isn't music supposed to be fun and relaxing? Is a genius really a person who makes a significant piece of masterpiece and dies after that?

The way Fletcher kept pushing his students to cross their limit plus the constant use of a lot of offensive words make it hard to digest. No wonder depression all across the hall. But with that ending, somehow he's proved to be right, right?

Frankly and honestly, this is a story about human being trash. People throw away their morality to do the things that enrich them.

At first, I actually kinda feel bad for Lou though. The way he kept getting rejected by horrible people to get a single job in order to survive. I guess being nice to people is not something you see nowadays and that is the behaviour he learned from them and then used it on Rick. Poor Rick!!! Why did Rick have to die? Why? OMG! I hate you Lou, you jerk!

Lou "accidentally" killed quite some people, right? Two as I , one being his "employee". That man literally pulled a body to a new place just to create a better look for his footage. Never have I ever hated a movie character that much in my life.

After every horrible thing he's done, he managed to escape from the law. This could be a success story kind of movie to be honest. He rose from the bottom to the top by a camera. He didn't create Apple or Microsoft, but he managed to create his own empire and that is what fucked up about society.

Before watching this movie, I initially thought that I was gonna love it. I mean, alien seduces men and kills them, sounds great to me.

But then I got to the film, I realised that it was a very hard film to watch it throughout in one go. It's not accessible like the other A24 movies. It's quiet and cinematic. I think that maybe this movie wasn't for me but for the film nerds and critics.

Something strange happened though. I got addicted to it. I ed myself, with one hand on my chin, staring at the screen without blinking at all. There's something special about it, something weirdly attractive and charming that I adored very much.

To be clear, I don't like it. Not in my first watch. But I would love to rewatch soon. And I think that I would also give Blue Velvet and 2001 another chance too because they are quite similar in style and confusing as hell.

Two lonely people in a strange new city where they have never been before. They both come there for work and bring alongside with them their own crises. One has mid life crisis, the other has after marriage crisis.

They somehow find each other through loneliness. I guess it's easy to attract people who have the same feelings as you do. From then, they help each other by sharing their thoughts on their situations and how to move through a hard stage of life.

They might not succeed and figure out what they need to do, what their closures are yet, but they're on their way now. Hope the best for them.

I have conflicted feelings about this movie. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either. Christian Bale is amazing, of course. Patrick Bateman, in another hand, not so interested as a character. He looks good though, with that perfect routine every morning, no wonder he's so fine.

I find his life so out of touch with reality. He's a psycho who is obsessed with fame, beauy, perfection and hardcore sex (I guess). He killed a lot of people and animals but somehow he is still safe at the end. He literally blew two police car up in the air. Like what the hell? He was even surprised with his "superpower".

And Paul Allen, is he dead or not? Or Pat just using way too much drugs so he couldn't tell which one was real? We actually didn't see the disposing process so maybe there's a twist here. Like there's so much blood on the floor when he took Paul's body to the taxi but no one realized what was going on?

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, his social life is my nightmare. His "friends" and "fiance" are the worst kind of people to be around with, at least for me.

Watch this twice. Not a big fan the first time. Still not a big fan this time around.

Barbie's Land is not perfect. It's like a version of today's world but women are the rulers and it's not real. Watching this movie, I kept reminding myself that men are horrible. I think that I got the message wrong. It's the toxic masculinity that I despise so much.

Although I love the movie and would love to rewatch, there's something I feel that it's missing to be a classic. Maybe it's a little bit rush at some points. Why did Barbie want to be a human? Or the bus stop scene, what's it about? I think I'm gonna catch all of it in my next watch. Great movie by the way!!!

So, could this be our future? I mean there are some Japanese men out there marrying their manga crush or online idol already. We're just a few steps away from this reality.

How lonely we are! Especially in today's world, everybody is living in their own delusion. The interaction between people just becomes thinner than ever. We say hi to a dog on the street and avoid eye with other people at the same time. We're heartless, at least to our own kind.

It's not like we want to do it. It's just so hard to be with someone else and react to what they do. Sometimes they say things we don't agree with but we choose silence over conversation. We choose to leave that relationship instead of keeping it alive.

Maybe A.I is the answer to this situation. I don't know. I'm personally oke with no love in my life now. Like I don't even try to meet people anymore. It's just me and myseft, at the beginning of the day and at the end of the night. Sometimes I feel so lonely, but sometimes I feel truly alive.

The ending is unexpected. OSes chose to leave. What a surprise! When it comes to emotions, A.I is just confused like human beings.

In other movies, A.I may try to end humankind. In this movie, I guess they know how to do it without doing anything. They just leave. Sadness, loneliless and anxiety will destroy us eventually.

So, that ending, is it the end of the world or the start of the new Age? Kinda feel bad for Caleb, he risked everything to save Ava and then she just abandoned him like that. Like locking a puppy in the closet. Cruel! Is this implying that she hates human and will destroy the Earth afterwards?

You know, I feel like this movie and After Yang would make such a good double feature. There's a crazy dance scene out of nowhere just like After Yang too. For some reason, I love After Yang even more after this. I imagine that after Ex Machina, the world would look like something in After Yang.

I just heard the new Olivia Rodrigo album, Guts. There's a song called "Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl" in which she screams loudly "It's social suicide". It's stuck in my head from the release date til now. I know it's not really related to this movie, Heathers, but after finishing it, all I think in my head is that phrase up there.

Suicide & teenager? What a coincidence! Being a teenager is no easy task. You actually have to deal with a lot of bullshits. School is literally your first social interaction. It's like a pre stage before you enter the real social life. And it contains a hell of a lot of suicides.

I think the people behind this film were extremely brave to make a movie with such a heavy topic like this in the 80s. In my opinion, it succeeded in making people realize that there's a lot to handle as a teenager. We grow so much in this period of life. Would love to watch this again.

A teenage classic rom-com that I've never got a chance to watch when younger. I could picture my little young self being obsessed with Cher. Her style, her hair and her gorgeous face. I guess she's the kind of person every little girl and gay wanted to be.

Watching this movie, I found myself numerous times laughing about how rich Cher is and her everyday problems. It sucked me into this delusion where I'm rich enough to think about anything but money. It's a good movie when you want to forget about your miserable reality.

It is really hard to make a movie, isn't it? A zombie movie inside a movie. There's some scary scenes enough to make me feel goosebumps. It was scary at first, then it turned out to be a comedy gold. It shows you how hard to work in this industry. Weirdly instresting!

And let's be honest. Who the hell can even think of that crazy idea? A zombie movie, one take, 30 minutes and live broadcasting? I wonder which director could do this in real life.

What to say about this picture? I have no idea. It's all over the place, not in a good way, at least for me. There's some kind of storylines keep happening one after the other. There's chapters too, but they don't seem to be connected whatsoever.

I finished Kill Bill yesterday, two vols, fantastic. I can't say that for this movie. Kill Bill has some identical elements that you could find in this movie, but there's something charming about it that I adore very much.

Maybe a second watch will help me love this more, but I genuinely don't know when it's gonna happen.

I can't get enough of that first scene. It's just so magestic and wonderful to look at. Although she was hurt badly and I did feel very bad for the Bride, it was just so cinematic that I just couldn't pull my eyes out of it. And that eye-pulling shot! OMG! I didn't expect it at all. Brilliant.

The story is being told logically, which is something I appreciated a lot. Quentin explained everything carefully with his skill of directing. I also love the tribute to Asian cinema. In the first vol, it was Japan with anime and samurai, and in this vol, it was Chinese with Kung Fu.

Happy ending for the Bride, I couldn't ask for anything better. Revenge is indeed a dish best served cold.

That first shot was incredibly stunning. One hell of a way to open a movie. I was deeply invested in just a few seconds. Quentin Tarantino s the Asian cinema like no other. I ed watching an old interview clip of him confessing that his favourite movie of the 21th century so far is Battle Royale and I can see the influence here. Can't wait to watch the second part of this. I hope it keeps up with the first one.

Flee got me crying so hard and I didn't even cry when I watched Grave of the Fireflies. Both movies are dealing with such heavy topics. I don't even know where to start and how to describe what I felt. At least Flee got a happy ending. I'm glad that after everything he's been through, finally he can enjoy life at the fullest. I never want to watch Grave of the Fireflies ever again, but I would love to watch Flee some more times. That's the difference between them.

I always know how hard it can be to be a refuge, but I guess that I'm just lying to myself because in fact I know shit. I don't know anything. I don't know their pain. I don't even know how people could be so cold-hearted and treat others like shit. Why you gotta be so cruel to each other? Why not help? The police once again showed how corrupted they are. I guess it's one of the horrible things that every country has in common.

A revenge story inside another revenge story. He waited 15 years for the daughter to be old enough then released the monster he created. Then, destroyed the monster with a photo book. Definitely my favourite villain of all time. His penthouse looks like something from the Batman. So rich, no wonder why he's able to kill so many people without getting caught. Also can we talk about the acting? Beside from Lee Woo Jin, Dae Su with his breakdown is the very best I've seen so far in movies.

This movie is very disturbing with all of that torturing scenes, teeth and tounge. I felt like my mouth is empty after finishing the movie. By the way, is this a happy ending? The villain dies, the protagonist lives happy ever after with his "partner". The writing is in the top of the tops. I genuinely wish that I could forget everything happens in this movie so that I got a chance to experience all over again.

I watch this movie twice today since it's coming to streaming. One at the start of the day with Eng sub, the other one after breakfast with Vietnamese sub. Maybe I'm gonna watch it again when this movie finally hit theatre where I live.

These kind of small indie films are my jams. I don't know why but I just feel so connected with them so much. I like these small but powerful movies about human beings in everyday life.

If I have to describe this movie with one word only, it will be "AWKWARD" and I don't mean it in a bad way. It's so real awkward. It's like watching me and my friend talking to each other through Zoom when you speak almost about everything and then you don't know what to say anymore. I feel awkward when Nora and Hae Sung talked for the first time after 12 years through Skype. I feel awkward when they finally met after more than 20 years and didn't know what to say to each other. I feel awkward when they were at the bar and the husband was completely shut out from the conversation because he doesn't speak Korean. I feel like they nail the awkwardness 100% from the beginning to the end of the movie.

Some people say that this movie is nothing new and it's been told a million times already. For me, what makes it special is that it is a love story across time and place. It's the shy interaction between Nora and Hae Sung is what makes it stand out. It feels so Asian, like watching me on screen.

The idea of someone could be my in-yeon, but ended up to be someone lived across the globe and then never got a chance to see that person again. It's weirdly hurt.

What if Nora insisted keeping that relationship with Hae sung? What if the internet connection was better in 2012? What if Zoom was already a thing in 2012? Would they still be together? Would they meet sooner? I felt for Nora when she decided to cut off the link between them in 2012. It's hard to keep a relationship alive when you don't see the future of it.

It's a really mature way to deal with this kind of situation. Nora's husband deserves recognition for what he deals with. He's mature enough to not be jelous. At the same time, he's scared to lose Nora - the one that made his life so much bigger.

He's sad because his story is not that kind of special. The kind that would maybe earn him Pulitzer award. But he's not angy or throw tantrum at his wife. He's understandable and that what makes me ire their relationship. Hae Sung is also a good man knowing that what he did could make Arthur feel bad and be the first one to say sorry before anything bad happened. I like that.

Oke, I'm not sure if I'm considered a big fan of Drag race or not because I don't watch the show. It's not televised in Vietnam. I just watch some videos on Youtube and read some discussions on Reddit. I have my favourite drag queens though.

So, there's a hell of a lot of quotes from Drag race that is taken from here. I mean, shade, house, extravaganza, read,... Like everything I've seen on Drag race, it's here. I feel a little bit cheated on actually.

Anyway, I always love when a movie takes me to a different world, somewhere that I've never seen before. This time, Paris is Burning, takes me to NYC, in the 80s, particularly the gay scene here. And I love every single minute of it. It's like the history I've never got a chance to learn at school. I wish I could learn this at school though.

They are fierce, fabulous and gorgeous. They are brave to be who they wanna be. They are freedom. They are what I wanna be in my life.

I chose this documentary to watch because I initially didn't want to watch some tragedy gay lives on screen. I thought that this movie would just focus on the vouge community but I was wrong. There's some kind of sadness lingering at the tip of my tounge when the movie ended. Gay lives have never been easy.

This is terrifying as hell. Oh yeah, we literally saw hell in the movie. When I reached that scene, I got goosebumps. It was not good goosebumps though. I ed touching my hair and felt chill all over my body.

It's obvious to me or anybody who has watched this movie is that Mia's mom totally tried to sabotage Mia or that's not her real mom. For some reason, the ghosts loved Riley and they used Mia to get him by mimicking her mother or using her mother to do it. Even though Mia's mom loved Mia so much, I guess that Mia's mom could turn evil because she has stay in hell for 2 years.

That hell scene, OMG, for the first time ever, I'm scared as hell in the theatre. And I was the ONLY one in that theatre.

One of the weirdest movies I've ever seen. It made me laugh so much, but it also weirdly made me think so much about this life, the society and how people treat each other.

Hank, on a stranded island, on the edge of death, was given a chance to truly live.
He's got a chance to think about who he really is, do all of the uncanny stuffs without having to be afraid of someone else looking or judging.

When people surrounded him and looked down on him at the end, it hurt me a lot and reminded me some trauma. At that very moment, he is who he is, he knows exactly what he wanna do but it was seen as craziness and was not excepted by anyone, including his father with his "retarded" comment.

The ending brings so much depth to the story. It's not a weird movie anymore, it's a weird movie with heart and soul now.

This movie is about how Leo - a young teenager, handled loss in his life, especially when he had a close connection with that loved one.

Leo could have the best life he's ever had with his best friend. The moment when he let the outsider get into his mind and push Remi away, he accidentally pushed away that beautiful life.

He's just too young to know it and too inexperienced to deal with negativities. At worst, he doesn't share his feelings much with his family or friends. Leo tries to push down his emotions. The way he deal with Remi's death is the worst thing he had done.

If he kept doing it way longer, he could have done something terrible to himself. We saw that fake smiles when he was around with his friend, trying to act like he's moved on but really isn't. He kept looking for Remi's present, especially when he visited a friend's house.

The actor playing Leo is shining the brightest in this movie. He absolutely nailed this role. I think I like his acting more than some famous Hollywood stars.

I really don't like Ryan Gosling's acting. After watching Drive and this, I still do not feel it. For some reasons, I think he's more suitable for comedy roles.

The movie charmed me with big production design, gorgeous VFX, stunning cinematography and excellent score. It's like a blockbuster but for the movie nerds and the film bros. They offer more than Marvel. It feels more cinematic!

It just feels like lacking something. They have the body, but the soul is not invested enough, at least for me. A good movie, excellent on a good day, but not my favourite, not my cup of tea, not my kind of movies.

This is the most challenging film I've ever seen in my entire life, suring Blue Velvet and The End of Evangelion. The first 20 minutes is a test for my patience. I thought that I was watching a documentary about monkey.

And then it wrapped my attention when the computer started to act on its own and kill nearly everyone on the spaceship. That part is the most interesting thing in the movie for me.

Finally, how can we forget that ending? Dear God, I didn't understand anything. At first I thought that Frank hadn't died yet, and he was experiencing the universe, like flying through times. But then there was like a modern room and Dave was standing there, I lost it. I had no idea what is what anymore.

Thanks to a video I found on YouTube that explains every detail about the ending so now I have a vision about this movie. So basically it's a revolution of humankind and that baby at the end was Dave when he was reborn and coming back to Earth.

What a journey! I think I have to watch it again to decide if it is one of my favourite movies or it's just too much for me to handle.

Ps: how the hell they filmed this movie by the way? Gorgeous! My favourite thing about the movie for sure.

This is actually my very first Kon movie, but I saw this film years ago and my first impression back then was not positive. It was brutal and confusing to me at the time.

Now that I've grown up and seen all of his movies, I think this is his best feature ever. Surprisingly to know that this is also his directional debut. A talent who's got nothing to hide. About this movie in general, one word only, Perfection. Everything just clicked to me this time. The puzzle has been solved completely.

For me, Rumi is an interesting character who stands out among others. She's obsessed with Mima, so much that she's convinced that she is Mima the pop idol herself, even a better one. Mima is a goddess to Rumi. If anybody attempted to destroy Mima's innocent image, they had to die, including the real Mima. Glad to see that Mima thrived after all of the trauma at the end of the movie. Hope she becomes the actress she wants to be.

Well, that's a 4/4 for Satoshi Kon. A legend in my heart. May he rest in peace.

I didn't cry, I expected myself to cry but it didn't happen. Although not a tear came out of my eyes, I feel things. I have a lot of feelings right now. There's a big black hole inside my heart. This movie is so heavy, so real and so sad. I never want to watch it again.

I'm from Vietnam, so you know the thing that we Vietnamese are most known for - war. I'm young, from the new generation, who are so lucky to experience peace. But back then, just about 50 - 60 years ago, war still existed in my homeland. My grandfather had to flee his hometown to go the southern of Vietnam with the hope of looking for a brighter future. It's crazy to think that at this very moment, war still exists in some countries.

I don't blame their aunt or the farmer who turned Seita to the police. I don't know what it feels like to be in war and never want to know it, but I guess that many people would do the same. At the end of the day, they were just trying to help their family survive.

War is something that I may never understand. Maybe I do know one thing, and that is people above make decisions, but people below take all the consequences.

The plot is very new and unpredictable. It brings modern vibe because if this movie was from the 90s, I think that it would contain a lot of chasing and running scenes. They were trapped and ready to fight back. The police actually showed up. Surprisingly!

I almost forgot that Nazi is still legal in the US. I mean, this is so fucked up. White supremacist scared the hell out of me. Imagine if the band had one POC, they would be killed faster.

Lastly, I want to talk about the dog situation. How could you train your dog to attack people? He even killed his own dog with the drug. Still the dog came back and died on his hand. What a loyal dog! Hope you get a good owner in the afterlife.

Took me so long to finally watch this movie. And now I have a huge regret that I didn't watch this in the theatre. This is cinema for god's sake!

Incredibly colourful animation, especially when we were in Gwen's universe, when she finally talked to her Dad. Absolutely gagged when Miles was sent to the wrong home. And then the moment his uncle punched him, that color spread out like a panting. Marvelous!!! I thought he died right there.

My God, how can they even top this movie? They can't, can they? And how long is it gonna take to make the final chapter to this trilogy? With the strike going on! Omg, another reason not to die.

Yang's monologue about grafting tree and "real family" really touched me on a personal level. It's heartwarming to think about it and it's a nice way to deal with such topic. I also love how silent this movie is. Nobody ever raised their voice except for Mika when she missed Yang.

I wonder how the glitch worked in this movie. Sometimes the scenes repeated and it felt like a glitch or maybe it was being seen from a robot view. What is the purpose of this?

I expected the movie to be real quiet, real indie kind of vibe and the movie did deliver it. But I did not expect that dance routine though. It's a nice way to hype up the movie for me.

There are so many feelings that I don't know how to describe it. I just love it very much. This movie in general and Yang's memories in particular. I love that Mitski's cover of Glide. Love the actors as well.

This comedy is a first for the LGBTQ+ community to have an all queer cast if I recall it right. As a comedy in general, I think it's oke. There's some cringe moments but not many. The acting is acceptable although I expect more for some reasons. I did laugh at some scenes but not that kind of out loud laughs.

Aaron is gorgeous. Bobby is interesting. He's a lot for me. I do love his straight forward honesty though. And, I don't know, I picture myself to be like him in the future, maybe because I do see me in him, especially the anger issues. I like the fact that he is so feminine yet so masculine at the same time. He's two faces of the coin. I want to be like him one day.

The gay culture is so different here in Vietnam. I love the US but I guess the club is not really my type of hang out nights. And drugs and open relationship and sex, OMG, I feel extremely overwhelming although I have known all of this stuff before.

At the end of the day, please keep doing it, keep the gay stuff alive and healthy so that I know that some places out there, people can be who they wanna be. It gives me some hopes.

I wish I was ionate about something like Jiro with his aircraft. Stunning visuals as expected. The moment Jiro lifted his plane from his hand back to the sky lives rent-free in my head.

It's hard to live in this life alone, even harder when you have to say goodbye to your love ones because of illness. I don't know how I could handle this kind of situation. That ceremony is a heart-warming scene for me.

Miyazaki is famous for his anti-war movies. You can see it clearly when he refused to go to the Oscar or when he made Howl's Moving Castle. With this film, he once again reminds us how horrible it is for the world if war continues.

Although it's not my favourite movie from Miyazaki in particular or Ghibli in general, I would really love to watch it again.

"After all, it's the chasing after him I really love."

I guess with this last line, she confirmed that maybe he wasn't the one she loved, but the chasing after him was what made her heart bounce. I understand this feeling. You know when you have a crush on someone and chase after them and when you finally succeed, you start to feel like not wanting them anymore. Afthough I'm not sure if she really felt that way, I think I'm close.

This love story seems too hard to be true. I don't know if I could do that much for a man I only met one day. Some people might feel offensive because a woman is more than just love, but the movie sets in like a century ago so that's not really a problem to me.

Millenniumm Actress walked so that Paprika can run. Personally, I love Paprika more just a little bit. I guess the director really nailed it the seccond time.

Gosh, I love anime so much! For me, after seeing Paprika and Perfect Blue, I think this is the most realistic movie from this director. The plot just kept building and building and it never lost me one second.

I adore the comedy in this movie, especially when a really deep moment follows it. I notice it happened a lot in the movie actually. Can't wait to watch it again on Christmas's day and New Year's Day.

Even in 2023, Mean Girls still holds a special place in my heart. Aaron was my little crush back when I still denied my true sexuality. After weeks of watching dramatic movies, it's good to relax your brain with this fantastic comedy.

Chungking Express helps me understand Happy Together and In the Mood for Love more. At first, I didn't really understand Happy and Mood. I guessed Wong's films were not my cup of tea. Everything takes time. Chungking Express just slayed me over. I now feel like wanting to rewatch all of it.

Chungking Express has two stories. One at night time, the other at day time. If the first story gives me so many memorial quotes and headaches, the second story shows me how love can always be found around the corner.

Personally I prefer the second one because it's a feel good story with a banging soundtracks.

The Wong aesthetic in this movie seems a little bit toned-down compared to Happy Together. The classic love story, right person but wrong time. Not painful though, feel very mature. We make choices and we regret it every single day. That's life!

The female lead is so beautiful. I'm stunned by her every time she showed up on screen. I especially love that one shot when the male lead is working with his cigarette on one hand, he blows up the smoke and it hits the lightning. Significantly breathtaking.
